Back-up storage

In his post on Tyndale Tech, Mark Goodacre gives a few helpful suggestions with permanent back-up online.

One of them, GSpace, I didn’t hear about until I read his post. GSpace explains that it “turns the 2GB of your Gmail account into free online storage. With Gspace you can manage unlimited Gmail accounts to store all type of files within its simple, user friendly interface.” So I encourage you to test it out if you have a Gmail account or are thinking about opening one.

Another storage-style site is Goowy. I came across this one just a few weeks ago. It acts as a virtual desktop (a “computer away from home”) with 1GB free storage available. But you can upgrade the storage for a fee.

One heavy-duty free storage is MediaMax, with 25GB.

There are several places at which to store your files (as some of you’ve noticed I use Google Docs & Spreadsheets). Back up your files or become like hoi loipoi (“the rest”) or hoi polloi (“the many”)!
